How do i know if this guy likes me?

This guy liked me in elementary school (that could mean anything), and now I really like him back but I don't know if he feels the same way about me. We had a school event on Friday and I was with a bunch of my friends and this guy who goes to my school who wouldn't stop following me and I could tell the guy was kinda wondering who he was he even asked me who the guy was. He had to leave and I still with alot of my friends and he said "can I have a hug," so I gave him a husband everybodys gonna say U've never hugged a guy before but it was my first guy hug and I'm the only girl he gave a hug to and while we were talking we were talking about music cause that's something we both like alot and I was just like this guy is awsome we like that same music we are alot like each other
