What Should I Do? Cant stop thinking about it?

Okay so basically i really like this guy and he likes me aswell, we have been on a couple of dates and they have gone really well but he knows alot of people that i know the problem is im scared of what everybodys going to think when i start going out with him? i mean no offence to him he isn't the best looking guy around but he has such an amazing personality. What would you do? im scared they will tease me about it,
