Confused.. think you could help?

okay , so theres this guy ive liked for a whilee. my friend says he looks/stares at me alot in class. and ive seen it too. and but heres the thing. sometimes he stares at me alot, and sometimes he doesnt at all. and like a week ago we were doing a partner thing in class, and this girl went and sat by him, like at the same desk in the same chair. and my friend said he was pushing her away and looking at me (like for me not to see) but everybody said he was blushing.. "everybodys like he might like you !" and stuff, but i really doubt it for some reason. anybody think they could help me out here ,, maybe tell me whats going on ?
