To Mormons: What does the church teach about "The Creation" of Earth, the "Heavens" ect.?

The Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price are among the standard works of the church. God hasn't revealed everything, but most of what he has revealed about the cosmos can be found there. By the way, we believe all truth, whether it is common knowledge or not. We hope to eventually know all things and don't bregrudge the fact that some people know more than others. The Holy Ghost has taught me many truths that cannot be found in the scriptures. They might not be official LDS doctrine, but they are true none-the-less. God reveals truth every day to people. The scriptures are a good primer, but they aren't the end-all say-all. That's why we have the Holy Ghost.
